ACTIVE DESIGN TO ENSURE STUDENTS’ PHYSICAL ACTIVITY IN THE SCHOOL ENVIRONMENT

Abstract

The aim of the paper is to collect and analyse information about the school environment suitability for physical activity during breaks. Inactivity has appeared as a major problem among the young people. Scientists have proved that it is necessary for children to move at least for 60 minutes daily in order to be fit. Emphasize in this paper is put on the necessity to ensure possibility to do purposeful physical activity in school premises. School environment should be tailed for children needs to keep them satisfied, comfortable and healthy.

The article is based on the theoretical research of literature and internet sources, and on children and teacher survey results.
